Christmas Books Featuring Dogs

This week, we’ve put together a great list of books set over the Christmas holiday that feature dogs. Whether you’re looking for a book to enjoy over the holidays or the perfect gift for the dog lover in your life, this is the list for you!

For Adult Readers

  2. The Christmas Dog by Melody Carlson. Need a little help finding the Christmas spirit? This touching story shows that sometimes you just need a dog.
  3. A Dog Named Christmas by Greg Kincaid. A young man’s passion for dogs spreads throughout his small town as everyone works together to bring good holiday season to homeless pets.
  4. A Lonely Dog on Christmas by Patrick Yearly. Tired of being ignored during another busy Christmas season, the family bulldog Beckham has other plans for the holidays this year.
  5. Dog Lover: Adult Coloring Book by Gina Trowler. Bust out those color crayons! The perfect book for any time of year (but especially the holidays!), these pages are filled with artistically drawn dog illustrations for adults to color!



For Young Readers

  1. The Hundred and One Dalmatians (101 Dalmations) by Dodie Smith. If your kids love the Disney cartoon, they will love the book that inspired it. Set during the holidays, the Dalmatians fight for survival against the evil Cruella De Vil.
