Tail Wagger of the Month

Meet Daisy!

Congratulations to our April Tail Wagger, Daisy Bjorkman!

Tail Wagger DaisyDaisy is no delicate flower; this sweet girl is 125 pounds of pure joy. A Mastiff/Great Dane mix, Daisy was rescued at 12 weeks of age by Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue. A mere 8 pounds at the time with rickets from malnutrition, Daisy has blossomed over the past 2-1/2 years and become a much-loved member of Lisa and Mike’s family. They tell us that she has no bad habits, a very loving disposition, and fills their days with laughter. Her enthusiasm is infectious – she loves treats, squeaky tennis balls, and belly rubs!

Daisy’s excitement peaks when her kiddie pool makes an appearance and her antics delight not only her pet parents, but the neighbors as well. Thrilled from the first moment she sees the pool, the laughter begins when she races towards it; Daisy’s size makes her far from graceful. With her top-heavy structure, her “running” is more of a gallop described as how a chicken crossed with a duck would run. Once she reaches the pool, she drinks eagerly from the hose and “digs” in the water while it fills.

This well-mannered girl isn’t a chewer, but she loves shoe laces! A word of advice from Lisa and Mike? Put your tennis shoes on really loose because Daisy will pull those laces and tighten them up for you!

In the year that Daisy has come to Wagging Tails, we’ve enjoyed watching her hog the plastic slide and giving her the belly rubs and ear scratches we know she loves.

What’s the best part of having Daisy in their life? “The unconditional love she shows us every day,” Lisa and Mike tell us. We couldn’t agree more.

Congratulations, Daisy!
