Our Top 5 Favorite Animated Movies with Dogs
We can’t resist a movie featuring a dog. And that goes double when it’s animated!
When we need a little romance, we cook up a pot of spaghetti and cue up Lady and the Tramp. When we need some laughter and inspiration – and a good cry – it’s time for a little All Dogs Go To Heaven. And, when one dog isn’t enough, we go for 101 Dalmatians.
But sometimes, we want something a little different. Here are a few of our other favorite animated dog movies, in no particular order.
- The Secret Life of Pets. It doesn’t get much better than this glimpse at life when owners leave their pets at home alone. Plus, it’s full of dogs, cats, birds, lizards – and a rabbit!
- Bolt. Bolt is a canine TV star who learns the hard way that his superpowers – and life – are far from real. But that doesn’t stop him from having an adventure along the way.
- The Isle of Dogs. When a corrupt mayor exiles all of the city’s dogs to Trash Island, a 12-year-old boy sets out to rescue his bodyguard dog Spots.
- Wallace & Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. This stop motion clay-animated comedy film features Wallace and his trusty sidekick Gromit coming to the rescue of a village plagued by rabbits.
- Frankenweenie. From the imagination of Tim Burton comes this delightful story of Young Victor’s science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life.
