Wagging Tails Pet Resort Participation Guidelines

Reservations Required

Reservations are required prior to check-in. Please note that during holidays and other periods of peak capacity, Playday reservations may be limited.

Assessment and Evaluation

Every dog must complete a Temperament Assessment and Evaluation before becoming a guest at the resort. Assessments are free of charge and are conducted during Resort Enrollment Periods in February, June, and October.

Leashes & Collars

All dogs must enter Wagging Tails Pet Resort on a non-retractable leash. We also require that all dogs wear a quick-release collar with their name on a tag, or harness with their name on it.

Holiday “Peak” Reservations

During holidays and periods of peak capacity, a 25% Reservation Deposit is required (per dog), and a 7-day advance notice of cancellation is required for a refund.

Holiday weeks & weekends include Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s, the entire month of March, and MEA week (in October). If the reservation deposit is not paid 7 days before the start date, the reservation will be canceled.

Non-holiday Reservations

During non-holiday periods, 24-hour advance notice of cancellation is required via the online portal, email, or phone. Reservations not canceled within this timeframe will be subject to the Late Cancellation/No-Show Reservation Fee and will be charged $20. Unoccupied reservations reduce total resort capacity, which may impact another guest’s ability to book their dog’s reservation. We appreciate your consideration!

Spay and Neuter

Dogs staying with us must be spayed or neutered by the age of 6 months. (Unaltered dogs destabilize the pack, and are at greater risk for injury by other dogs.)

We require vaccinations for all dogs who attend the resort. These vaccinations include Bordatella, Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (D/H/L/P). It is the dog owner’s responsibility to maintain current vaccinations.

Vet Records

Your veterinarian may fax your pet’s records to 651-789-3369.

All dogs must be in good health. No coughing, vomiting or diarrhea 48 hours prior to arrival at the facility. On admission, all dogs must be free from any communicable condition. Dogs that have been ill with or exposed to a communicable condition require veterinarian certification of health prior to admittance to the resort.

Flea Control

All dogs must be on flea prevention from May thru November each year.

For the safety of all our guests, Wagging Tails Pet Resort does not accept dogs with aggressive or anti-social tendencies, or dogs that actively jump our fences.

Blind or Deaf Dogs

For the safety of all our guests, WTPR does not accept blind or deaf dogs.
