Meet Mabel!

Sweet Mabel is a little over a year old and has been coming to Wagging Tails for at least eight months. When she comes to play, she enjoys spending time with her best buds Casey the Poodle, Hazel the Chocolate Lab, and the Husky Twins, Luca and Koda. But that’s not all – Mabel also loves causing mischief! In fact, we once caught this sneaky girl trying to jump the fence to get into a different play area to make even more friends!

This friendly Goldendoodle also loves humans. And, since her backyard has two busy walking trails, Mabel’s enthusiasm often takes people by surprise. Her owners Marty and Tracy told us that Mabel sprints at passersby, comes to an abrupt stop where their yard ends, and sits pretty as they pass, begging them to come play. Whether they have a dog or are out on a stroll alone, they can always expect a cheerful greeting from Mabel when they pass her yard.

When Mabel isn’t busy making more friends, she enjoys keeping the world safe from objects, like scooters and skateboards. She may not bark at dogs or people, but you can rest easy knowing that you’re safe from these things if Mabel’s around because she never hesitates to sound the alarm!

Marty and Tracy told us that this is their family’s first dog – they never even had a close relative with a one before. That makes the entire experience completely new, and they’ve enjoyed every moment. It’s come with new surprises too, like the night Marty got home very late and startled Mabel. The family couldn’t figure out what smelled so bad until they realized Mabel had peed all over the wall in her excitement! Fortunately, nothing was ruined, and everyone had a good laugh about it.

What’s the best part of having Mabel in their life? “That, as a family who never dreamed of owning a dog, it is so fascinating and life-changing to own one,” Marty and Tracy said. “We cannot tell you enough as to how much our lives have changed.”
