Congratulations to our February Tail Wagger, Norman Jentz!
Owners Pete and Alyson tell us that 5-year-old Norman is a special German hunting breed called a Pudelpointer! A cross between a German hunting poodle (or “pudel”) and an English pointer, these dogs have only been in North America for a short time – about 50 years or so.
We already knew that this 80-pound charmer was special. Norman wins people over by sitting on their feet and staring into their faces with his expressive brown eyes, no one can resist him. Once he’s captured their heart, he moves into their lap – he loves to cuddle.
Energetic and filled with a sense of adventure, Norman also loves to play! He’s been coming to Wagging Tails for the past three years and doesn’t care if he’s indoors or out as long as he can hang with his friends! No matter the weather, Norman loves playing catch and chasing tennis balls, but when it’s time to come indoors, he loves putting his hunting genes to work. His new favorite indoor game is searching for toys that his owners have hidden around the house!
Norman’s energy makes him the perfect running companion for Pete who regularly trains for marathons while his sweet nature has him full of cuddles for Alyson when the run is complete. We’re
sure that Norman is looking forward to having a new human sibling in the house this April!
Congratulations to Norman, we love every visit with this very special boy!
