Tail Waggers of the Month

Meet Wilma and Nala!

Bloomington Tail Waggers

WilmaOur December Tail Wagger is Wilma who’s been coming to our Bloomington location for approximately a year!

This charming golden doodle is nearly a 1-1/2 year’s old and a social butterfly during her visits. Don’t let that innocent smile fool you, though. You have to keep a close eye on Wilma because she has a reputation for stealing birthday treats when no one is looking! In her defense, it’s really hard to resist peanut butter.

When Wilma is at home, she enjoys being an only child and burying her toys all over the house. It usually takes a while until she finds the perfect spot, and she whines away while she’s focused on the task. Most of the time, Wilma decides the safest place is stuffed between the couch cushions or under a pillow for her owner Allison to find.

Allison tells us that Wilma is obsessed with playing fetch, so she’s a true retriever at heart. To make the most of it, they spend a lot of their free time at the dog park with a tennis ball.

Eagan Tail Waggers

NalaOur Eagan winner is Nala the German Shepherd poodle mix! This nearly 2-1/2-year-old shepadoodle has been playing at Wagging Tails since she was a 6-month-old puppy.

When Nala comes to Wagging Tails, she enjoys playing with smaller dogs and often seems to think she’s one herself. At home, she loves keeping a watchful eye out for her best friend Peaches who lives across the street. Nala waits patiently for any sign of Peaches to come outdoors and, when she finally appears, makes sure to spread the word to her owners Rupa and Edgar by making a very specific noise.

Nala is a very gentle, sweet, and cuddly dog, but can take a while to warm up to strangers. Once she does, however, she’s devoted for life. She’s also very observant and immediately notices if anything is different or out of place before approaching it carefully to make sure it’s not a threat.

As a youngster, Nala hated going on walks. She once got away from Edgar and took off running, and he wasn’t able to catch her. This smart girl surprised him, though, by finding her way home where she patiently waited for him to return.

What’s the best part of having Nala in their life? “Nala brings so much joy and happiness into our home,” Rupa and Edgar told us. “We are so lucky that we get to watch her grow and give her life filled with love.”

Congratulations Wilma and Nala!
