Tail Waggers of the Month

Meet Lilo, Ollie, and Piper!

Bloomington Tail Wagger

Lilo and OllieLilo and Ollie have been coming to our Bloomington location since we first opened. Lilo is a four-year-old German Shepherd mix, and Ollie is a three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. These canine siblings love to stay busy during their visits, making new friends and begging our Canine Concierges for attention.

Their owners tell us Lilo is an amazing acrobat and can pursue squirrels at least four feet into the trees! These active pooches are also always eager to start the day and use their own language – filled with human-like sighs, grumbles, and jabbers – to get their people moving in the morning.

Lilo and Ollie may love spending time with the humans at Wagging Tails, but they hate it when guests come to the house. Fortunately, they don’t seem to mind sharing their home with Gus, the leopard gecko, and their two human siblings, Gabby and Ben.

Eagan Tail Wagger

PiperPiper has been part of our Eagan pack since she was five months old. This Australian Cattle Dog mix loves sitting on top of the plastic ramps during her visits and watching the other dogs play. She can also be a little bit of a tease, instigating playtime with other dogs only to flop down on her back! Piper has learned the word “daycare,” so her owners, Brittney and Phil, have to avoid saying it in when a Playday isn’t scheduled.

When Piper isn’t at WTPR, she enjoys playdates with her cousins Joplin, the Husky/German Shepherd, and Boxers Layla and Rizzo. She also likes taking a nice, long walk or having some playtime in the yard before finding the sunniest spot in the house for some serious sunbathing. Brittney and Phil say Piper’s super playful and loves getting attention, unless the human is wearing a hat, dark-rimmed glasses, or has a lot of facial hair. In those cases, she prefers taking her time getting to know them.

What’s the best part of having Piper in their lives? “She keeps us on our toes and keeps us active. She loves going on hikes and exploring park trails, which we love too,” Brittney and Phil said. “She’s a perfect match for us!”

Congratulations, Lilo, Ollie, and Piper!
