COVID-19 Updates
How We’re Flattening the Curve
Dear Wagging Tails Pack,
As dog lovers, we have been closely following official updates about COVID-19 and pets. We’re happy to report that, at this time, there’s no evidence that dogs can either infect humans or become sick with COVID-19. You can read more by visiting this page from the CDC on Animals and Coronavirus Disease.
While many schools and businesses have been forced to close temporarily, we want to assure you that Wagging Tails Pet Resort WILL REMAIN OPEN so your dog can continue to play (and stay) at our facility. Please remember that reservations are required for boarding and daycare, and walk-ins will be turned away effective 3/20/20.
Wagging Tails Pet Resort has always been committed to the safety of our staff, you, and your dogs. During these challenging times, that continues to be our top priority. In an effort to do our part to “flatten the curve,” we will be taking several steps to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We ask that you be patient during this unprecedented time, while we work to optimize our procedures and provide service to all our guests.
Here are a few updates about the steps we’re taking during the coronavirus pandemic.
Extensive Cleaning Protocol
Our comprehensive cleaning protocol involves thoroughly cleaning toys, food bowls, water bowls, and beds after each use, and disinfecting the playrooms daily and overnight suites between every guest. At this time, we’re also disinfecting high-traffic areas regularly throughout the day — including door handles, countertops, and bathrooms in the lobby.
Lobby Areas Limited to 3 Guests
Effective immediately, there will only be three people allowed in the lobby at one time. We will have a sign on display as a friendly reminder, and our staff will also lock the door if needed to adhere to these restrictions. Rest assured, we’re not closed — we’re just practicing safe social distancing!
Traveling Guests
If you’ve been traveling, please utilize Curbside Pick-up and do not enter the building. Please call the front desk to make arrangements.
Options to Reduce Wait Times
To reduce wait times and streamline your check-in/check-out process, we’re offering the following options:
- Curbside Pick-up & Drop-off – We encourage you to call the front desk when you are on your way to pick up or drop off your dog. Just give us their first and last name, and the approximate time you will arrive, and we will do our best to be ready when you arrive. Front Desk phone numbers: Eagan (651) 483-DOGS (3647) Ext. #2 | Bloomington (952) 881-2248
- Place your credit card on file/Purchase Playday Packs – To make your visit even faster, we also encourage you to keep a credit card on file so we can expedite your payment. You can also purchase one of our Playday Packages to pay for visits in advance.
- Online Reservations – Remember, reservations are required and walk-ins will be turned away effective 3/20/20. Plan ahead by scheduling your dog’s Playday or Overnight online. Just click here to schedule your dog’s visit today!
Thank you for your patience!
We know that these changes will be difficult and could cause longer wait times than usual. If you call us or send us a message through our online “Chat” tool, please allow extra time for us to respond to your request. We ask for your patience during this challenging time as we take these additional steps to keep both you and our staff safe. We will do our best to keep the process moving as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Thank you for your continued support,
Jesse & Sarah Polk and The Wagging Tails Team
